Support for people who have experienced sexual assault.
If you have experienced sexual assault, there are a range of services that can support your physical, emotional, practical and/or legal needs. A first point of contact is Dr Tracey Keogh, the sexual harassment and sexual violence prevention and support officer here at UL, who can offer confidential support and information on services to those who have experienced or are experiencing incidents of sexual assault and sexual harassment. Every person’s experience of sexual assault is different, and the kind of support you want, or need is your own decision. It can be difficult to make decisions when you have experienced a traumatic situation. You might want to talk through your options with someone you trust, like a family member or friend however, it is your choice to decide what will work best for you.

Support with your work for StaffIf your work is being affected because of your experience, then it would be helpful to let your manager know, or a member of your department. You can decide how much information to share with them about your experience. However, it is important to let them know that your work is being affected so they can help with the adjustments you need to continue with your job, or to take a break from work if that would be more helpful to you |
